elephants in thailand

a quick note about this picture. i visited this sanctuary near chang mai, thailand. i purposely chose one that didn't chain the animals or let people ride them. it's out in the middle of the jungle and pretty magical. if you should go, try to find the kindest situation for these lovely animal souls.

i chose the baby for the cover for the obvious cute factor. i mean, look at his hair.

i've never been so close to such giants and was scared of being trampled, then i wasn't and it was a wonderful experience.
